The Campfire Heart

The symbol behind every memory.

Every family has stories.
Every story leaves an ember.

The Campfire heart isn’t simply our logo. It represents the memories we protect and the warmth that remains long after a moment has passed.

Just as a campfire leaves glowing coals after the flames settle, the stories we record continue warming the people we love for generations.

The mark

A heart first. Then the ember.

You see a heart before you see anything else. A second later you notice what it is holding: a small coal, still glowing. The heart protects the memory. The ember is what is left after the flames have gone quiet — never a flame, never a candle, never a spark. A coal keeps its warmth all night.

The flat heart

The mark stripped to its truth: one silhouette, one ember carved out as open space. This is the version that can be stamped, stitched, embossed, or drawn from memory on the back of a napkin.

The glowing ember

The heart stays matte and calm while the coal burns inside it — gold at the core, amber at the shoulders, dark where the heat meets the purple. The light never escapes the heart, because the heart is what keeps it.

Catching a breath

Once every few seconds the ember takes in a little air and brightens. Not a heartbeat, not a pulse to hurry you along. It is the way a real coal behaves when it is left alone and still refuses to go out.

Still, and breathing

Side by side, so the difference is felt rather than explained. Stillness is how the mark rests. Breathing is how it tells you something is being kept safe right now.

The family

One heart, many registers

Instead of borrowed icons, Campfire keeps a small family of hearts. Each one is the same silhouette with a single quiet mark added — an arc, a line, a second heart, a coal. They never explain a feature. They only say the screen belongs to Campfire.

A family, not a set

Screens don't ask for a drawing, they ask for a meaning — a beginning, a nudge, a quiet hour, something kept, something shared. The system answers with the right heart. So when Campfire grows a new corner years from now, it arrives already looking like the rest of the house.

  • Onboarding

A small heart just beginning, and coals that light as you go.

  • Settings

Hearts resting on tuning lines. Nothing mechanical.

  • Notifications

One rising note beside the heart. Never a bell.

  • Empty states

A hollow heart waiting. An explanation, not an apology.

  • Success

The ember catches one breath. No confetti.

  • Exports & sharing

A heart with a door open — the memory leaving safely.

Where it lives

The first thing, and the last

The heart greets you when the app opens and stays with you at the bottom of every page. It is small on purpose. Quiet things are the ones you end up trusting.

PRESERVE WHAT MATTERS

The splash screen

The ember arrives before the words do. For a moment there is nothing but a small light in the dark, which is exactly what a campfire is.

The app icon

On a home screen full of noise, the ember reads at a glance. You should be able to find it without reading a single word.

Made with in Wyoming.

The website footer

Not a trademark line. A signature. The heart sits inside the sentence because the sentence is true.

Favicon · light

At sixteen pixels the ember has to survive. It does, because the shape was drawn for the smallest size first.

Favicon · dark

The same coal, in a dark tab. Warmth reads either way.

Off the screen

Something you can hold

Memories outlive devices. The heart was built to leave the screen — pressed into leather, stamped in gold, sunk into thick paper — so that a book of your stories can sit on a shelf long after any app is gone.

STORIES THAT LAST

The hardcover memory book

Blind-embossed into the cover: no ink, only shadow. You find it with your fingertips before your eyes.

Emboss

Raised in leather.

Gold foil

For the keepsake editions.

Letterpress

Pressed into cotton paper.

Black

One color, no compromise.

White

For dark covers and night.

Purple

The color we always come home to.

While you wait

The ember gently pulses,
like a memory that never fades.

The loading ember

Most apps spin something at you. Campfire simply lets the ember breathe. Waiting should feel like sitting by a fire, not standing in a line.

The originals

The drawings themselves, kept where anyone who prints, stitches, or engraves for Campfire can find them.
